Sunset Dashboard
An analytics dashboard that turns complex data into beautiful, intuitive visualizations. Because even numbers deserve to be painted with care.
The Challenge
Data is beautiful — but only if you can see it. Most dashboards treat information like a wall of numbers, when it should be treated like a sunset: layered, colorful, and endlessly fascinating.
The challenge was to take dense analytical data and present it in a way that told a story. Not just charts and graphs, but a narrative that unfolds as you explore.
The Canvas
We used a warm color palette inspired by actual sunsets — amber highlights for peaks, cool blues for valleys, soft gradients for transitions between states. Every visualization was designed to be understood at a glance, then reward deeper exploration.
The layout follows a river metaphor — data flows from the top of the page to the bottom, from overview to detail, from the big picture to the tiny brushstrokes. Just like painting, you start with the big shapes and work your way down to the details.
The Impact
Decision-making time dropped by 40%. Not because the data changed, but because the presentation made patterns visible that were always there. Sometimes you don’t need more data — you just need a better way to look at what you already have.
